The BMS26M833 is an infrared array sensor module that has an on-board 8x8 (64 pixels) infrared array sensor, the AMG8833. It supports I2C interface to read values.
The AMG8833 supports I2C interface and includes interrupt pin (configurable). You can configure the maximum and minimum thresholds separately. Once any pixel is higher or lower than the thresholds, the INT pin interrupts.
The AMG8833 has a temperature measurement range of 0°C to 80°C (32°F to 176°F) with an accuracy of ±2.5°C (±4.5°F). It is capable of measuring human body temperature within a range of 7 meters (23 feet). With a maximum frame rate of 10Hz, it is well-suited for applications such as human presence detection or mini thermal cameras.
The BMS26M833 breaks out the AMG8833’s pins to match BMCOM connectors. With the BMCOM, you can directly connect the product to BMduino development boards, such as BM53A367A.
You can use the product with other development boards, such as Arduino UNO, as well.
