The BME25K322 is an air quality detection module that is composed of the air quality sensor BM25S3221-1 and a breakout board. The product is mainly used to detect the concentration of PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 (ranging 0~1000μg/m3) and read values and PWM signals via UART interface and STA pin. The product has been calibrated at factory.
The BME25K322 uses laser scattering to radiate suspending particles in the air, then collects scattering light to obtain the curve of scattering light change with time. There is a MCU built in the BME25K322 which can calculate particles diameter and the number of particles (concentration), and then output values via UART interface once every second.
You can read PWM signals through STA pin as well and use the formula to calculate the concentration of PM2.5.
The BME25K322 has the same functions and specifications as the BM25S3221-1. The difference between them is that the BME25K322 uses a breakout board to transfer the BM25S3221-1’s pins to match BMCOM and can directly connect to BMduino development boards, such as BM53A367A. You can use it with other development boards, such as Arduino UNO, as well.
