The BMA92K222 is a capacitive fingerprint sensor kit that can store and identify up to 100 fingerprints and supports UART interface. The product includes one breakout board, one fingerprint sensor BM92S2222-A, and one cable to connect the senor to the breakout board.
The BMA92K222 has the same functions and specifications as the BM92S2222-A. The difference between them is that the BMA92K222 uses a breakout board and a LDO IC HT73L33 to transfer the BM92S2222-A’s pins to match BMCOM and can directly connect to BMduino development boards, such as BM53A367A.
You can use the product with other development boards, such as Arduino UNO, as well.
The BM92S2222-A has built in a Holtek 32-bit MCU, the HT32F12364, and algorithm to complete high-speed fingerprint sampling, template file establishment, identification and other operations.
The BM92S2222-A has a built-in touch key IC as well. When a finger touches the metal frame of the fingerprint sensor, the build-in touch key IC changes its output signal level. Reducing standby power consumption by supplying power to the fingerprint sensor after detecting the signal level change from the touch key IC.
