The BMA46M422 is a PIR detector module composed of a breakout board and the PIR sensor BM22S4221-1. The product supports UART interface, and multiple parameters are configurable, such as sensitivity, trigger time, etc.
The BMA46M422 has built-in a Fresnel lens, a PIR sensor, and an MCU. The Fresnel lens helps focus the PIR sensor's field of view.
When the module senses the motion, the STA pin (pin 1) outputs from low level to high level (default). It is easy to make a PIR detector by supplying power to the module and monitoring the STA pin.
BMA46M422 has the same functions as the BM22S4221-1. The difference between them is that the BMA46M422 uses level shift circuit to break out the BM22S4221-1’s pins to match BMCOM connectors and can directly connect to BMduino development boards, such as BM53A367A.
You can use the product with other development boards, such as Arduino UNO, as well.
