The BMA26M221 is a PIR detector module composed of a breakout board and the PIR sensor BM22S4021-1. The product can output its status automatically every 50ms via UART interface.
The BMA26M221 integrates Fresnel lens, one PIR sensor, and algorithms. The Fresnel lens is used to help focus the PIR sensor's field of view. It also includes temperature compensation and ambient light detect functions (configure via software). Furthermore, multiple parameters are configurable, such as sensitivity, trigger threshold, and triggered time, etc.
BMA26M221 has the same functions as the BM22S4021-1. The difference between them is that the BMA26M221 breaks out the BM22S4021-1’s pins to match BMCOM connectors and provides an on-board LED to check the module's status.
The product can be connected to BMduino development boards, such as BM53A367A directly. You can use it with other development boards, such as Arduino UNO, as well.
