DESCRIPTION

The product can play both voice and sentences. Voice refers to various sounds, such as human voices, music, or pre-recorded audio, while sentences are composed of voices, and you can set silence between two voices.

It supports uploading mono WAV files to the Voice MCU Workshop. After editing the voices, you can program them to the product or generate a programming file.

The HT68FV022 offers 16Mbit Flash memory for storing voices, and the storable duration of voices depends on the compression format chosen. The better the audio quality, the more memory it will occupy, resulting in a shorter duration.
On the Voice MCU Workshop, you can select from the following compression formats: PCM, u-law, and ADPCM. Based on the MCU frequency and compression format, you have an additional selection for compressing the file at low, medium, or high qualities.

★ Refer to the “2.1 Peripheral Mode” chapter in the Voice MCU Workshop user’s guide for more details.

Voice MCU Workshop

Voice MCU Workshop offers the below functions:

  1. Configure parameters of communication interface and speaker driver
  2. Upload / Delete / Replace voices
  3. Sentence composition
  4. Voice / sentence preview
  5. Program compressed voices or sentences to BM72D3021-1
  6. Generate programming files

★ Refer to the "2. Voice MCU Workshop Interface Description" chapter in the Voice MCU Workshop user's guide for more details.

Peripheral mode

There are three control modes of the peripheral mode: one-wire mode, two-wire mode, and direct (key) mode.
You can add one 4.7K resistance to the module’s pin1 and connect the resistance to GND for one-wire mode/two-wire mode external selection. It is necessary to power up the module again after changing the mode.

★ Refer to the "Peripheral IC Mode" chapter in the HT68FV022 datasheet for more details.

Product compare
BM72D3021-1 and BM72D3041-1 have the same functions. The only two differences between them are the MCU and the voice flash memory.
BM72D3021-1 is designed based on the HT68FV022 and integrated 16Mbit flash memory. In contrast, BM72D3041-1 is designed based on the HT68FV024 and provides 32Mbit flash memory.
